Jack--
We are the ones who should be thanking YOU! The Gila was by far the best race I have done this season, due in large part to the warm welcome the town reserved for us. The courses are stellar, absolutely world class. I feel lucky to be a participant, and I love visiting Silver City. Please pass on my thanks to all the organization and volunteers who make the race great.
AND thanks again for letting me use the phone at the HIke and Bike that first Monday afternoon, trying to get in touch with the Turnbulls.....they were great hosts.

HI Jack,

A big THANK YOU to you, everyone else who worked on the Tour of the Gila, all the marshalls and volunteers, and the town of Silver City for putting on the best road race in the country. I've been racing for 10 years and I've probably done 500 races. The Tour of the Gila is my all-time favorite.
Epic courses, flawless coordination by the promoters, accurate and prompt results, and a super-friendly community. The racers really enjoy and appreciate this event. Keep up the great work. I look forward to making the trip to Silver City again next year.
Regards and ride on,
Jon Alegranti - Boulder, CO

Hi Michelle,

Just want to congratulate you and all the hard working people in Silver City who put on such a great race. I have really enjoyed coming to Silver City for three years now and I'm never disappointed. It is a great event and a wonderful showcase for the town and surrounding area.
Hope you all get a little rest now. Have a great summer.

To everyone at the tour,
I wanted to write to thank you all so much for putting on such an enjoyable experience. As this was my first time to the Gila everything was new. Both myself and my team mates really had a wonderful time. The courses were challenging and all the people, from the promoters, sponsors, officials, volunteers and towns people were so positive and nice. I feel I've made some new friends and had an experience I will always remember and treasure. Thank you for the opportunity.
Sincerely,
Eric Sternlicht

Hi. This was my first Tour. I don't think it will be my last. Except for getting pummeled by the wind, the hills and riders much better than me, I thoroughly enjoyed myself. It was great, as a 3, to be treated like a real stage racer. We just don't get that anywhere else, with silly 2 1/2 day "omniums" being the norm. So it was great to be part of a timed event, even as the distance between myself and the race leader grew by leaps and bounds.

Please give big thank you to all the volunteers and Guardsman who took care of us, and to the drivers who gave us that extra bit of space as we rode around all week. My stay with host housing brought Silver City even closer and worked out great. Super organization and some super racing.

Now, if I can lose some weight, learn to time trial and learn to climb...

We're from Canada and appreciate the photos and up-dates. Crank-on Jeanvieve and Gergely Hegadus ( the young kid from Red Deer, Alberta with Team Bow Cycle_) Hope your camera man finds the Bow Cycle riders and you get a shot of the foreigners who have traveled so far for so much excellent racing. Say hi to them from Chuck and Linda Sinclair or do you do the equivalent of an Olympic Village Communication center?
Thank you - Chuck and Linda Sinclair

Thank you for the email. I checked back to the home page a voila there were two guys from Bow Cycles. I quickly informed all of the club members to check the site. Thank you! - Chuck and Linda Sinclair
