For the age group of 4–13 years old. There are different stations with courses that the children have to master in order to pass the course. The objective of each course is to make sure that each child knows how to operate his or her bike correctly. Begin the course with the safety check for both the rider and the bicycle because it is very important. The safety check for the rider is the helmet and bicycle fit. The Rotary Club is providing free helmets and an art table. Each child participant will receive a Bike Safety Card that shows they were taught the safety rules, received a bike safety inspection and passed the riding safety test.
This event is sponsored by the Kiwanis Club of Silver City and the Silver City Rotary Club in cooperation with Bikeworks, Silver City Police Department, Grant County Sheriff Department and the Silver City Fire Department.
