The 30th annual Tour of the Gila will be providing daily updates, reports and photos of all stages of the UCI Men and Women stage race which starts April 29 and ends May 3, 2015. By utilizing many of our social media outlets and by having a person riding in the women’s and men’s caravan, we’ll be able to provide all the race action to fans everywhere!

Every day, a description of the stage, along with a map and a recap of GC leader and jersey holders will be published on the tourofthegila.com site,

Live updates will then be provided via our @tourofthegila twitter account, so follow us on twitter, and keep up with all the action! Don’t forget to use the hashtag #tourofthegila to keep up with tweets from all the fans and teams.

We’ll also be posting photos on our instagram account tourofthegila of pre-stage activities and the podium ceremonies each day. The same photos will be posted on our twitter feed and on our facebook page.

Finally, for each stage, a race report will be posted on this site, tourofthegila.com along with quotes from the winners, full results and a photo gallery.

Nitty gritty – for the road stages – stage 1 from Silver City to Mogollon, stage 2, the Inner Loop and stage 5, the Gila Monster, the UCI men and women stages are raced at the same time (credit freed). Therefore, to make it easier to follow the live action, we’ll be using the following rules for the racing updates:

  • A tweet will start with either M: or W:, to specify if the info relates to UCI Men’s stage or Women’s stage.
  • Last name will be used to identify the riders.
  • Technology might delay our response to your @query in certain sections of the road stages, but we’ll get back to you as quickly as possible.
  • Three-letter acronyms will be used for team info, either the UCI team code or an acronym created for the race – see chart below.
